More than a lawyer directory.
We help internationals understand what kind of legal help they need, prepare the matter clearly and personally match them with a suitable independent lawyer.
We do not simply send you a list of names. We first understand the issue, budget and priorities, organise the relevant information, and then approach a lawyer whose expertise, English-language service, expected fees and availability appear to fit.
FindLawyer is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The partner lawyer confirms their fees and provides all legal advice and representation.

What you get that searching alone does not give you
A search engine ranks pages. A directory lists names. Neither of them reads your situation, and neither tells you when you do not need a lawyer at all.
Clarity
We help you understand what the problem appears to involve, and whether approaching a lawyer seems proportionate at all. Sometimes the honest answer is that it is not, and we say so.
Preparation
We organise the facts and the documents and prepare a structured case brief, so the lawyer starts from an ordered file rather than from a first conversation that you pay for by the hour.
Selection
We identify a suitable lawyer against criteria we check ourselves, rather than against search ranking or advertising position. Budget and expected fees are part of that, and the lawyer confirms their own fees with you.
What actually happens to your case
It starts with a practical assessment of what you tell us. We read what has happened, look at any deadline attached to it, and give an honest view of whether legal help is worth the cost in your situation.
If you decide to go ahead, the work before the introduction is the part that a directory does not do. Three things get made.
A structured intake
The same questions get asked every time, so nothing important is missed and nothing depends on what you happened to remember.
Your documents, ordered
Your contract, correspondence, deadlines and evidence are put into an order a lawyer can read, rather than handed over as a folder of screenshots to be sorted out on the clock.
A written case brief
A written summary of the facts, the timeline, the documents and what you are trying to achieve. Lawyers are approached with that brief rather than with a vague enquiry, which is what makes a considered answer possible.
After the introduction, your relationship is directly with the law firm. They confirm their own fees, they give the advice, and they represent you. See how FindLawyer works for the full journey.
Our partner law firm network
Independent Dutch lawyers and firms working in immigration, employment and tenancy, with experience of international clients.
We are not an open directory and we do not list every firm in the country. Before we make an introduction we check four things, and if we cannot satisfy them for your matter, we tell you that instead of introducing you anyway.
-
Dutch Bar registrationWe check the public register of the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten.
-
Legal area and case fitThat they work in the relevant area, and on your specific type of matter.
-
English-language serviceThat the matter will be handled in English, not merely that the website is.
-
Expected fees and availabilityThat they can take the matter, and what it is likely to cost. Expected fees are discussed as part of this check, so budget is considered before an introduction.
The partner lawyer confirms their own fees with you directly, and FindLawyer does not set or negotiate them.
Why we built this
Dutch legal problems are difficult enough without also having to work out which lawyer to trust. FindLawyer exists to make the first steps clearer, prepare the matter properly and make a more informed introduction, while the independent partner lawyer remains responsible for all legal advice.
That shapes how we work. We would rather tell someone that their situation does not need a lawyer than sell them a match, because a service that only ever says yes is not giving advice, it is taking orders.
And we would rather send a lawyer an organised brief than a name and a phone number, because the quality of the first hour decides a lot about the cost of the rest.
Tell us what has happened
Fifteen minutes, free, and an honest view of whether legal help is worth it in your case.
FindLawyer is not a law firm. Legal advice comes from the independent Dutch Bar-registered lawyer we introduce you to. Operated by Leadvise Legal B.V.
